Import Customer

You may import list of customer records to the system from Excel. This save the time to create the customer record one by one.

To be able to import the Customer data correctly, you will need to use our Template to do the import.

1. Click on button "Import" on the top menu in Customer Master page,.

2. On the popup screen, click on "Click here to download our Excel template".

3. There are 6 columns in the Excel template:

a) Customer Name - Name or description of the customer
b) Phone - General phone number of your customer
c) Fax - General fax number of your customer
d) Email - General email of your customer
e) Billing Address - Address where the invoice will be sent to
f) Shipping Address - Address where the delivery note will be sent to
g) Payment Terms - Default Payment Terms of the customer. The Payment Terms value must be same as the Payment Terms Name set in Setting > Payment Terms. If the system could not match the data, a new Payment Terms will be created
h) Tax Name - the name of the tax that applied to this customer
i) Tax No - company tax number of this customer
j) Contact Name - name of the primary contact person
k) Contact Phone - phone number of the primary contact person
l) Contact Fax - fax number of the primary contact person
m) Contact Email - email of the primary contact person

Recommendation : Enter the organization name in "Customer Name" column, and enter contact person information in "Contact Person" section. One customer record may have multiple contact person information.

4. Create 2 Customer item in the Excel template, save the template file.

5. On the Import Customer page, click button "Browse" and select your Excel file to be imported.

6. Then click on button "Import Now".

7. Once the customer data imported successfully, you will be notified.

8. The imported customer will be listed on the Customer Master page.
